Amgen unveiled its pioneering Next-Generation Biomanufacturing facility in Singapore’s Tuas Biomedical Park in 2014. This state-of-the-art plant and Amgen’s first manufacturing site in Asia, integrates multiple innovative technologies into a single facility to achieve greater speed, productivity, and flexibility in commercial-scale manufacturing. Built in half the construction time, at approximately one quarter of the capital cost and half of the operating cost required, the facility boosts a significantly smaller manufacturing footprint and higher environmental efficiencies including reduced consumption of water and energy and lower levels of carbon emissions.
